Summer Enrichment

The Elizabeth Peabody House proudly offers two summer programs for year-round enrichment and care. Our on-site program, City Explorers, is based out of our historic Somerville facility while our partnership with Everwood Day Camp in Sharon, MA gives our students the opportunity to leave the city and experience traditional summer camp activities.

City Explorers

In 2020, COVID-19 gave us the opportunity to create a summer program at our facility in Somerville for our school age children who choose not to attend Everwood Day Camp. This program is known as the City Explorers, and will serve children at our 277 Broadway location. During the summer, students have opportunities to go on field trips and take advantage of parks and activities right here in Somerville.

We look forward to the opportunity to continue providing high-quality care and enrichment to our students during the summer. Rates for the 2022 summer can be found here.

Everwood Day Camp

We are grateful to be in partnership with Everwood Day Camp, located in Sharon, MA. EPH students and alumni are able to attend this camp at a reduced rate, with transportation provided from Somerville to Sharon. At Everwood, campers are able to experience nature through state-of-the-art enrichment activities including swimming, archery, and ropes courses.

We Love Our Community!

Once our son graduated from preschool, he returned to EPH for afterschool and summer camp, keeping some familiar faces in his life as he adapted to public school. He immediately loved summer camp weeks at Everwood – even the long bus rides where there would be songs sung and afternoon naps.

This is a very special place and the absolute best place my son could have spent learning and growing over these years.

Make a Donation

The Elizabeth Peabody House exists to serve our community in Somerville and surrounding towns. Every single donation goes directly to our programs and operating costs, including purchases of PPE to keep our teachers and students safe, and partitions to divide up our classroom space. We are extremely grateful for the aid we receive from our community partners, neighbors, families, and supporters as we continue to do our work.
